I say:
This is Richard Curtis' first scripted rom-com feature film, which I remember as being much funnier when I first saw it! Jeff Goldblum is straight man to Rowan Atkinson's egomaniac comic, gets fired, finds love with a nurse (Emma Thompson) who gives him injections for his allergies, gets part in musical of The Elephant Man, has one night stand with an actress, but wins Emma back. Goldblum gurns his way through it, there are lots of familiar faces (to UK TV audiences), and several good ideas, but it's all so predictable.
